Some weddings mean a little extra to me, and Freddy & Priscilla’s day was one of those stories I’ll never forget.
After the hurricane hit Augusta last year, our home had a revolving door of people coming in to assess damages. In the middle of all the chaos, Freddy showed up. He was one of the few people who truly listened, cared, and made sure we were taken care of during such a difficult season.
Somewhere in those conversations, he started talking about his girlfriend, Priscilla. I still remember the way his face lit up every time he mentioned her. He told me he was planning to propose in California, and I jokingly said, “Well… I’m a wedding photographer, I’d love to capture it.” ✨
A few months later, I found myself in California photographing one of the sweetest proposals at Point Dume overlooking the ocean. And now, getting to stand beside them again on their wedding day at the beautiful Tower House felt incredibly surreal.
These are the kinds of full-circle moments that remind me why I love photography so much. Sometimes life brings people into your story in the most unexpected ways.
